Meet the eyes of a praying mantis and feel the presence of God. As a messenger, sometimes a praying mantis appears in a dream or even in an object of art. I was painting a grouping of silk paintings of the Archangels. I originally named this painting of Archangel Gabriel, ‘Praying Gabriel’. To my surprise a surreal image of a praying mantis appeared in the painting. It was not seen by myself, but spotted by a spiritual workshop facilitator, who fell in love with the painting. She is very connected to praying mantis energy. Praying mantis medicine is a divine messenger that helps one to live a spirit-guided life with patience and the grace of stillness. I feel that way about Archangel Gabriel. To reflect the amazing story referenced above, I have changed the name of this art image to ‘Archangel Gabriel, Stillness Mastery’.
